Mr. John Neuberger
I am excited to continue my work with TTUSD as the Principal of Truckee High School. I want to capitalize on the foundation of excellence that has been set at THS while honoring Tahoe Truckee Unified School District’s focus on collaboration, creating engaging curriculum, communication, and respect for diversity.
I began teaching Social Studies in my home state of New Jersey. In 2007 I moved to California and earned my secondary credential in English. I taught in East Palo Alto and San Francisco. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and hold two master’s degrees in education, one in Curriculum & Instruction and the other in Organization & Leadership. I served as the Vice Principal of Administration at Oceana High School in Pacifica from 2014-2018 and as the Assistant Principal of Truckee High School from 2018-2023.
I am passionate about equity and restorative practices. I believe in a students’ first philosophy that leverages relationship building as the foundation for student achievement. I work hard to create and maintain safe and respectful learning environments for students and staff. I look forward to helping our students meet the challenges of the changing world.

Mr. Jason Estabrook
I am thrilled to be returning to Truckee High School as an Assistant Principal. As a Truckee High School graduate, I am thankful for the opportunity and truly value the special meaning of this position. I am proud to serve and support the Truckee High community.
My career in education began in 1996 as a Social Studies teacher in the state of Alabama where I graduated from college. Over the past 26 years, I have taught in four different states, with ten of those years being at Truckee High School. I hold two bachelor's degrees in history and secondary education with a master's degree in educational leadership.
I am a firm believer that the prominent role of education is the process of teaching and learning that involves the whole person. This work is done by developing the knowledge, value and skills of all students. This process maximizes student learning and the ability to change freely. Truckee High School’s faculty and staff embody this work, allowing all students space to pursue their individual paths of learning and I am excited to be a part of this process.
